11 days

The countdown has begun!

We are eleven days until our departure from the Dulles airport in Washington, D.C. to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia!
We are also 10 days from landing in Washington, D.C to stay in the night before!
Excitement is definitely in the air. Everyone is getting to know each other through Facebook and emails and texts! We are all SO ready to finally see each other's faces in real life!
The plan is to have a group dinner in D.C. July 13th once everyone has arrived. What a night that will be!

Today I am going to give you a run down of everything we will be taking part of while we are in Tanzania, so get excited!

July 15- Our first day there we are jumping in and hitting the ground running! We will be at a church service in Esso, Arusha and that evening we will have our orientation on the culture and get to know the missionaries!
July 16- The next day the plan is to promote the crusades (services) we will be having in Arusha, we will be having a prayer walk and passing out tracts! What an exciting way to start our adventure!
July 18- A couple days later we will be heading over to the Masai village! We will be having a service there that is for both adults and children.
July 19 and 21- These days will be full of excitement! The AYC team will be a part of several different things going on. We will be able to be apart of a seminar that focuses on new converts in the village or we will be able to participate in street evangelism! During the street evangelism we will be put to work, singing and passing out tracts for church services simultaneously! We will be witnessing and touching the hearts of the Tanzanian people before they even get to the church! Then that evening we will be having church!
July 20- Once again we will be in Esso, Arusha but, this time while Brother Jury preaches we will be singing and passing out tracts!
July 22- This day will be mainly focused on the children of Tanzania and will be a day of worship!  This is also our last day in Tanzania! Needless to say, I don't want to think about that!

A few other things I didn't mention that we will be doing are quite adventurous! We will be going on a Safari and also tenting in the Masai village for a couple days!
Yes, I said tenting. Its like, fancy camping, only in Africa! ;)

I hope this gets you all excited for the great things to come! Please keep us in your prayers, we are very excited!
